Android’s share sheet and Chrome downloads make saving media straightforward once you have a direct file. PintDown turns a public Pinterest pin URL into a downloadable video you can keep offline in Files or Gallery.
Step 1: Copy the pin link
Open the pin in the Pinterest app or Chrome. Tap Share → Copy link. If you are already on the pin page in Chrome, copy the URL from the address bar.
Step 2: Open PintDown and paste
Go to pintdown.site/video, paste the URL, and tap Download. When the preview appears, pick a resolution and start the download. Chrome should show a progress notification.
Step 3: Find the file
Open Chrome’s Downloads or the system Files app → Downloads. From there you can move the video into Gallery, Google Photos, or an editor. Some OEMs also surface the file in a “Recent” media tray.
Android-specific tips
- Allow Chrome notifications so you can see download progress.
- If the download is blocked, check Chrome’s download permission and “ask where to save” settings.
- On Android 13+, confirm that Files / Photos has permission to access media if you move the file later.
When downloads fail
