iPhone users often want a Pinterest idea video in Photos for offline viewing, editing, or mood boards. Pinterest’s share sheet does not always offer a direct “Save Video” option for every pin. This guide walks through copying a public pin link, opening PintDown in Safari or Chrome, and saving the result to Camera Roll.
Before you start
- Use a public pin URL. Private or restricted pins cannot be fetched.
- Have enough free storage for the file (HD clips are often tens of megabytes).
- Prefer Wi‑Fi for large downloads.
Step 1: Copy the Pinterest video link
In the Pinterest app, open the video pin → Share → Copy Link. In Safari on Pinterest.com, copy the address bar URL instead. Short pin.it links are fine—PintDown resolves them.
Step 2: Paste into PintDown Video
Open pintdown.site/video in Safari or Chrome. Paste the URL into the field and tap Download. Wait for the preview and resolution options to load.
Step 3: Save to Photos
On the preview page, choose a resolution if several are listed. Download the file, then use Safari’s share sheet or long-press → Save Video so it lands in Photos. If Save Video is missing, download first, then open the file from Downloads and share to Photos.
Common iPhone issues
- Paste does nothing: Grant clipboard access when Safari prompts, or paste via the keyboard bar.
- Preview loads but save fails: Free up storage and retry on Wi‑Fi.
- “Pin not found”: Confirm the pin is public and the link is complete.
