When a board ZIP helps
Mood boards, client references, and research collections are easier to archive as one ZIP than pin-by-pin. PintDown’s board downloader resolves a public board URL, lists pins, and packages selected media for download.
Step-by-step
- Open the public board on Pinterest and copy its URL (profile/board path).
- Paste it into pintdown.site/board and fetch the board.
- Review the pin list. Deselect items you do not need to keep the ZIP smaller.
- Start the ZIP download and wait until the browser finishes writing the file.
Large boards
Very large boards take longer to resolve and zip. Prefer a stable connection. If the board is huge, download in batches by selecting subsets when the UI allows, or retry after a pause if the browser times out.
Secret and private boards
Secret boards and private profile content are not available without authentication. PintDown does not ask for your Pinterest password and will not open restricted boards. Make the board public temporarily only if you own it and accept that trade-off—or export another way Pinterest provides for owners.
Tips for cleaner ZIPs
- Skip broken or duplicate pins in the selection list when possible.
- Keep free disk space above the expected ZIP size.
- Unzip with a modern archive tool if your OS struggles with large archives.
